In hopes of reconnecting to my roots and sharing it with those around me. I create and practice art that honors my indigenous Mayan culture, traditions, and family history. My art is a celebration of Latin cultural identity and also a reflection on the loss or displacement of culture and tradition throughout generations and because of assimilation. Through my work, I aim to preserve and honor the rich heritage of my ancestors while also exploring the complexities of cultural identity in the modern world. By sharing my point of view, I hope to inspire others to reconnect with their own roots and appreciate the beauty of cultural diversity.
